Invisalign clear aligners
Invisalign straightens teeth using a series of custom-made clear aligners. Digital planning maps tooth movement throughout treatment. Aligners are changed progressively according to your dentist’s instructions.

Straightening teeth with clear aligners
Aligners are removed for eating and cleaning your teeth. Treatment also depends on consistent wear and review visits. At your examination, we assess whether the approach suits your teeth and bite and estimate treatment time.

Questions
worth
asking
How many hours a day should I wear the aligners?
Usually around 22 hours a day, removing them for eating and cleaning, according to your individual instructions. Consistent wear directly affects progress.
How long does treatment take?
It depends on the complexity of your case. An estimated duration is provided after scanning and planning.
Will people notice the aligners?
The aligners are clear and discreet in normal conversation, although they are not completely invisible.
Will I need a retainer afterwards?
Yes. Teeth can move again after reaching their planned position. Retainers are fitted at the end of treatment, with instructions for wear and follow-up. Retention remains part of your care after the aligner series is complete. Read more on the Invisalign website.
Are the aligners the only visible part of treatment?
Some cases require small tooth-colored attachments bonded to the teeth. They help the aligners produce the planned movements and may be visible close up. Their need is assessed during planning, and they are removed at the end of treatment.
